I taught my tiel to wear a feather tether harness and tok her outside today! She had a good time walking around in the grass. I live in an apartment complex so I got some odd looks from my neighbors but I thought she deserved some time out.

How did you get that feather harness on her without her *******g out! I'd love to see some pictures of that. Sounds like fun for the bird.

Well, I tried getting her to walk into it etc, but it never worked great. Finally what I did was gently restrain her and put it on, then fed her treats while she was wearing it. A few times of that and she is OK. She is an only bird though and does about everything with me so she is bonded to me and trusts me.

Bugging my boyfriend! And yes that is my dirty laundry pile in the background. Hey, I had two exams, a project and an orchestra concert for those two weeks! David got to "babysit" and spend some time so that she wasn't neglected (he looooved it) but I had to snap that pic!

Be careful. At first I thought you had gone crazy and taken her outside without a harness or anything. But then I thought about it and knew somebody wouldn't do that. Thats looks so cool! laugh
