Turns out Dolly likes pecking at my hair, but I wonder if it's toxic to her or not? During decemeber i dyed my hair, but it was demi-permant. It comes off with a couple of washes, but i still see the reddish color in my hair. Would that be any harm to her?

Hmm maybe if you still have the box of the hair dye you used you could look to see what it says about that sort of stuff. Yeah, Pebbles loves hair too!

I wouldn't think your hair would be toxic... chances are you've long since washed all the chemicals off, and the color remaining is just whatever has been absorbed into your hair.

My new keets favorite place to be is on my head or my daughters head, preening away. I think it's a sign of affection, the closest they can get to treating you as they would another parakeet. I really doubt any chemicals are left on the hair to cause harm.

I don't know! I use gel, but it wasn't tested on animals (which I like smile ) Cobra didn't seem to have any sickness...
