As you can all see, I (Sushi's Person) have updated my username to include both my keets. :-D
Stitch seems to be totallypast all the health problems I was so worried about at first... I'm still keeping her warm and un-stressed for a few days yet, but I'm no longer constantly worrying that her health will take a sudden dive.
She's such a cute baby! She does this funny thing where she "sticks" to the side of the cage and then puts her head down between her legs, and then keeps on working her way around until her back is facing the outside of the cage and her belly is facing the inside of the cage! I think I shall name this movie "inverted parakeet."
Because I didn't want stress making her condition worse, this past week as she was recovering I didn't do any training at all - I've been in the room with her, but pretty low-key in my attentions so as not to scare her. The result - she'll have been in my house for almost two weeks before we start the hand training! I wonder if that'll make her easier or harder to train. I guess we shall see.
