Advertised on a local facebook group I saw two budgies (male and female) in a teeny tiny cage together for sale. I was hoping to save these guys from moving to another home and living in the same tiny cage but was not quick enough and someone brought them before me. I messaged her asking if she would like to purchase a larger cage that I have spare and she wrote back saying the cage was fine that she got.

I then tried to explain the importance of seperating the birds, and getting them into larger cages. This is the reply she sent:

"You didn't win the buy i did so i will keep the birds however i want to thank you"

*sighs....Why are people such bloody idiots!
If only I could have been 10 mins earlier I could have rescued these poor little guys frown

Oh no! Those poor keets! frown It breaks my heart whenever I see birds cramped together in small cages......
Don't feel bad! You tried your best. Hopefully their new owner will wise up and buy them a bigger cage so they can stretch their teeny feet and wings~ laugh

I agree with illusive, you planted a seed. That will bother that person daily when they look into the little cage. Nice try though Marley
