Anyone seen the movie yet? I just saw it on last, last Friday. Such an AMAZING movie! I loved it. The book was better of course. Can't wait for Catching Fire!

I saw the movie last week. I did read the book as well. My grandson asked me to read the series and I'll read anything he is excited about reading. The movie did cut a few things and of course the book will tell you what they are thinking, but I did enjoy the movie. My husband liked it a lot too. Lots of action and it is safe for young teens to watch as well.

My son is crazy about the books, so I went to see the trailer on line and was disappointed. I do not read or watch sci-fi or futuristic books or movies. I just do not care for them. Most times they are just violence and very dark material, and shot in the dark.

I didn't read anything but the first Harry Potter and didn't bother with the rest or the movies. Call me weird and that is okay but I just can't get into that type of thing.

I love who done its, suspense and a story line that I can understand and follow. But there is something out there for everyone.....

im with you as i never got into the harry potter thing either...im just not a fad follower for the most...and agree with the fact that much sci-fi is violence and dark material...and i dont advocate killing of people for food the way that movie is set up... frown..that being said i did like all the star wars sequels...but also never got into the star trek thing either.

i also believe if the media didnt sensationalize all the crimes in the street that they do... then a good bit of it would stop in time...by publishing it..especially the way they do... they just throw more fuel to the fire.

My daughter bought the books after seeing the film.
