Today is Superbowl Sunday and I also have three papers due. I've been so backlogged with work that I haven't started on any of them. This is very unusual for me. Usually I have them mostly done by Sunday. So now I have a hard deadline of 10pm for one and midnight for the other two that they absolutely have to be in.

First up, a 3 page paper on Venn Diagrams for my logic class. I'll work on that one first.

OK my Venn diagram paper is done. Three pages, illustrated with hand drawn circles which were a bit of a challenge. I had to figure out how to make hollow circles in Photoshop. It's done!

On to my Ethics class. This paper length is unspecified so I will aim for 2-3 pages. I did 2 pages for my first paper and got an A on it, so I am assuming that is a proper length. The task here is to evaluate a website's mission statement / values statement for how well it conveys its message. I will evaluate BellaOnline's pages, to ensure they are doing that task as well as possible.

Ethics class paper is done. I got it to fit on 2 pages by using 10 point type instead of 12 point type. I realized in re-reading the material that she wanted a shorter paper so hopefully 2 pages will do.

Now for the final, most extensive assignment for the day. This is in my Writing for the Professions II class. It's a 4 page single spaced report on a business topic. I chose to write on implementing Facebook promotions for BellaOnline.

The report involves research on social networking, statistics on how well different types of promotions have done, and evaluations of the results.

Today's version is only a draft; the final version is due in 2 weeks. So I imagine she is OK with not having all data in at this point. We only submitted our outline for our topic on Friday (i.e. two days ago) and I haven't heard back yet if my outline is OK. So the course is moving extremely quickly. It's a bit challenging to write a draft after only just deciding on a topic and creating an outline for it, and not even hearing back if the chosen outline was OK. Still, I will do my best.

Are you working on your degree online? I have a lot of admiration for people who do that. Hubby got his through University of Wyoming. While working fulltime too. Ugh! I took one online class...kicked my butt.
Good job with the papers! Knock those suckers out!

OK the final paper is done and in. Thank goodness. Going forward I will strive not to leave things so last minute.

Dear Kathy -

Yes it's a full time Leadership degree program at Northeastern University. It's geared towards working adults, meaning my fellow classmates are experienced business people and not young teenagers, which is very good in terms of having meaningful class discussions on the topics we're addressing. The fellow students have actually been through the situations and can offer wonderful insight.

I'm enjoying it greatly, but it means my backlog of work is huge now.

Right now I'm taking three simultaneous classes - one on logic, one on ethics, and one on writing.
