the light shows thru the cage but not so bright it keeps them awake but bright enough should they suffer a nite fright they can see and will calm down faster than they would in total darkness which would be disasterous because even turning on a light in those situations will only further the thrashing

Okay so my girls are getting more use to the cage and its surrounding and they jump on the ropes, (wich is like a perch) and perchs lol and eating alot! the blue one (Anabella) is still a bit scared when I get near her but she eats, drink and poo's as well as Ellie (the yellow one). but Ellie is less scared of me when I get near her wich is bonding with me.. there's still 6 more days to go until I can train them. i talk to them often and my mum was like who you talking to. then I said well.. the birds.. lol xD

Amyways for the question. Is it okay to feed the birds from out of the cage? like there are cracks that you can fit yourfinger in it, can you put millet between the cracks so they can get it or is it a bad idea?

Ps2; It's funny because I tryed feeding Anabella the banana but everytime I try putting it somewhere she kicks it and it falls or she steps on it lol its funny to watch tho shes such a cutie. (:

keets dont like fruit usually at all offering veggies is better ...dont reward with offering food throught the wires of the cage ..wait ..till you get the desired response you want to do something like that

1:Okay so If I hang some lettuce in the cage what would the chances of them eating it while Im gone?

2: Anabella (The blue one) isint shy to get out of the cage. when change the food/water she jumps out of the cageIs that a good sign? and its hard to get her back in because she just gets tied to the cage soooo much

3:And does it affect their health if lets say I put perfume (on me ofc), or any product with scented things?

I am not a keet person, but i know from reading posts here that keets only like super fresh lettuce. So i am not sure they will eat the lettuce while u are gone, if it's the slightest bit wilted.

I am of the understanding that fragrance aerosols are really damaging to keets. If you do a search in this forum you will see a lot of posts about this.
