When Stitch, my new keet, is sitting still, her tail bobs up and down a little bit. I've read that this could be a sign of a respitory infection, but she seems otherwise very healthy - energetic, eating well, poop looks normal. I have a vet appointment for a week from tomorrow just for a general checkup - do I need to try and get her in before that?

I don't think that would be anything to worry about. I mean, if she is breathing without dificulty, and everthing else is normal, then I think it is just a little keet-quirk smile Good luck!

Yeah, she's probably fine, especially since she seems fine otherwise. Does it ALWAYS bob a lot when she sits still? That's kinda weird, but I don't know if that's bad or not, especially since she's so energetic and all. Joey's tail bobs sometimes too. I notice it several times a day, but he just went to the vet today and checked out fine except for a little bit of a tummy problem. I bet Stitch is okay too. Keep us updated! smile

I think it is fine Pebbles does that too. I think it is just one of the thing that keets do like Kacey said a "keet-quirk". I wouldn't worry about it though! smile
