Does anyone hang their bird cage? i am thinking of getting one of those bird hanging stands or hanging from a hook in the ceiling.

i dont, but that idea isnt uncommon... it sounds like a good idea to me, but make sure that the hook has an anchor so it doesnt come out

Ditto to dreamer's point. I can't remember where I read this (so I can't post a link) but -- it was a warning about hanging cages. Over time, if they spin or get revolved, they can loosen the screw/hook that connects to the stand or ceiling, and then come crashing down.

The other issue that comes to mind is having some sort of wall near the back of the cage, so the bird doesn't feel as though it is right in the middle of the room and vulnerable from all sides. A hanging cage near a wall or a corner might be comfy for the bird; I don't know.

When I had a smaller cage, and only 2 keets, I had it hung from the cieling and my keets LOVED it, I think they felt very safe up there and really let their personalities shine.
