I have Quincy the Quaker for a week. I get to babysit while my parents are away. I hope that he behaves! lol He will tolerate me but he hates Brian. Quakers are one family birds.
I am going to try and get some cool pictures of him and some video. He does lots of funny tricks and talks up a storm.
He is terrified of the little keets. smile

he jumps into his happy hut and hides when they are out. It is really funny. The only one that he likes to watch is Louie. But only if she is a safe distance away!

most birds are scared of keets, keets tend to be very roudy, make rapid movements and can be rather aggressive LOL

I will try and get pictures. I have to put on an oven mitt to get out his food out. He bites the holy mother out of me. I am hoping he is settled soon. Once he is out he wants me to cuddle him. I hate to say it but I dont think I could own a Quaker!

Right now he is quacking like a duck. It is sooo funny. I might try to teach him to say' "aflac"

I know what you mean about biting, Princess (green cheek conure) has been molting so she is really cranky, this morning she was sitting in my lap and suddenly I must have touched the wrong spot because she turned and bit my finger right at the cuticle so hard it was bleeding for a few minutes. Normally she is the sweetest thing and the only time she bites is once in a while if she doesnt want to go back in her cage at bedtime. I have never resorted to oven mitts.

He draws blood too. I have never had to use them until today. But he needed food so I had no choice. I think that he is molting too so that may be why he is such a grump. The last time he got me between my thumb and finger in that really sensitive area. I wanted to scream. I kept say no bites! Argh... 5 more days of this. I hope that he realizes I am not the enemy soon.
