Well, my "adopt a homeless parakeet" think didn't work out - mostly b/c of conflicting schedules between the lady who has them and myself.

However, today I went to the petstore and brought home a new keet! :-D She is currently nameless, I'm waiting for the perfect name to occur to me. She's a most unusual color - she's got the same pattern as the blue-with-yellow-faces keets, but very, VERY light. Nearly white. She's gorgeous!

Right now she's sitting on the cage floor, but she's very alert and is keeping a steady eye on me. I'll keep you guys updated!

That cool I also got 2 more keetss today. It was buy one get the other one free! I'm sad: read the topic on New Keets if you want to know.

I have a name for the color mutation my new keet is! She's a cinnamon yellow-face opaline. That's a mouthful, huh? Well, I'll get pictures up ASAP. Right now she's sitting on the perch of her water dish (relieved that she found it...) and we're staring at each other. "Snitch" is being considered as a name. :-D

Snitch has been here for about three hours. So far she has explored a bit, climbed her ladder, and is now - I seriously can't believe this, considering she's brand new - sitting on the top perch, preening away. I MIGHT have even heard her chirp - I was walking downstairs (Snitch is upstairs, Sushi is downstairs right now) and I heard a chrip that sounded like it came from behind me - though it could have been Sushi.

I'm so excited! What an outgoing little animal. She's now taken a break from preening to examine me. :-D

That's great Sushi! Congratulations! Snitch is an adorable name! Snitch sounds like she is very personable Good luck! Can't wait to see pictures and updates!

Snitch will chirp back when I talk to her! Yay!

I'm posting some pictures of Snitch/Stitch (so hard to make a decision!) in the other forum. :-)

I would go with Snitch, since she is a girl. But, if she turns out to be he, then Stitch would be really cute!
