I actually don't follow recipes for my keets. I guess they are "plain food eaters". Their favorites right now are broccoli florets, sweet corn on or off the cob, and shredded wheat cereal.

Sherby likes foods on strings. He enjoys cheerios, and popcorn (plain airpopped). Ditto likes anything that involves ripping, or destroying things, lettuce, corn on cob...etc. With corn I stick one of those corn cob holders in the end and clip it with a clothes pin to the side of the cage.

I do a birdie salad that I got from Helwa. I use my food processor to chop up one piece of broccoli, one piece of cauliflower, a baby carrot and some corn. THen I put it in a dish and sprinkle with seseame seeds or ground egg shells.
All of it comes out the size of seeds so they will eat it.

Well I make a budgie fruit salad, what you do is take a strawberrie and three different kinds of melons and some apple and peach then chop them up into little squares mix it together.
My budgie loves it! Hope this helps.

Oh and one more thing, I wouldn't feed them too much peanut butter. That could make them sick.

My guys LOVE LOVE LOVE Harrison's bird bread. It is a mix you buy and make into muffins. I break the muffins in 1/3's and freeze. They get 1/3 of a muffin every couple weeks.

Any Pagan dish that I make for us, I make for the birds. They'll eat anything.

I mix it up by making wild rice, barley, lentils red or regular, wheat berrys, greensplit pea etc. and cook it up and freeze it using plastic wrap in muffin tins then storing in baggies. I defrost it and they go for it every morning! Sometimes like today the conures were just yammering so I gave them an afternoon plate and silence followed!
