how do you give a bird a steam bath? Can you give a steam bath to cockatiels and parakeets as well? I mist my birds every morning, but they rarely go into their baths.

i turn the shower on super hot and steam up the bathroom really good and let her sit in there, not anywhere where she can get into the steaming hot water though.

the humidity does wonders for their skin.

haha everyone asks that... ive just always done it, they enjoy it alot, i think the only reason jazzie takes a bath is so she can snuggle up in the towel afterwards HAHA

so cute and comfy looking!! i noticed "wet bird smell" too. dogs, birds, even the occasional rain soaked cat... they have a "wet animal smell" that varies according to size, how often they are bathed, how wet they are and if they have a tendency while outside, to roll in something else's poo! lol! wet bird is a unique smell but not unpleasant one. what i love is the smell of "warm birdie" (especially after the "wet bird" smell has dried off! haha) that is such a comforting smell.
we are DEFIANTLY all CRAZY BIRD PEPOLE.... we have to be to be because here we all are having in depth discussions about poo and how our birds smell!
omg! rofl can you imagine us all having a serious discussion about the poo habits and the smell of our wet children or husbands!!! hahahaha!
