It even looks like it has salt/seasoning on it! LOL!
I guess I'm just used to knowing that there are always going to be spides around... plus I've never gotten bit by a brown recluse (even though I've seen the damage). I'm actually not sure why I'm not terrified of being here.
I don't think so... If you [accidentally] crush a Blister Beetle up against your skin you get a terrible blister. Sometimes we get really bad swarms of them that hang out in our garden. There are many types but the ones that we have look like gray lightning bugs. One was in my room one day.
they have like some sort of acid in them don't they? hurts like a xxxxxx i hear. as for the cracker... it was nearly as big as one of those ritz crackers in lunchables! the two points on it and then the roundness make it resemble a cats head with the ears perked up. they remind me of hazel nuts before they go dark brown! and yes, i have more guts than brains, i would never have done it if i didn't want to try to make my little niece less afraid of spiders. but i did warn her not to do what auntie did! LOL
Okay clearly Canadian spiders vary on location cos' i have never (and don't wish to) see one of those crazy fortune cookie spiders around these parts ewwwwww!
That is one weird lookin spider. I've never seen one like that...You are very brave for having that crawl on you! Even though I don't mind spiders I do not like them crawling on me at all!
the things we do for love! i was just glad my nieces weren't watching me when she bit and i had to "coax" her to let go. good thing they are hard like a hazelnut so i could grab her and wiggle her enough to scare her so she let go of my thumb! or that the girls didn't see where she bit. the mandibles were about 2/3 the width of an average staple! or to see the drops of blood come to the surface. that would have ruined the meaning of the whole lesson! LOL
lets see what happend here? unfortunately, we lost the ones of the fang prints and blood spots from her mandibles. the kids call her "the queen of darkness"!
OMG, BB. That is the most ungodly, horrid, disgusting, cracker, spider that ever walked the planet. I've seen many ugly spiders but this... I didn't even eat my breakfast, it was that gross.
