It's probably time for a new question. Anyone? I don't want to monopolize the questions.

P.S. I quoted and responded to a few of the posts on the previous page. I have been away for a couple of days, to attend a family wedding.

Sometimes our hearts can get us into trouble, cant they?!

Sometimes we need to be careful what our heart might be telling us to do.
A scripture that comes to my mind from the book of Jeremiah chapter 17, in verse 9.. "The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?"

So it wise to not trust the heart at times. For the most part it wants to lead us in the right direction but we are all imperfect and make many mistakes sometimes acting on an impulse.

Thinking of all the possible consequences, good and bad..as the result of the actions we might take because of what the heart is telling us to do can help in making the right decision.

I love all the hearts in this forum. Such a loving and caring bunch. smile

If you had a party and could invite any 5 people...living or dead, who would those people be and why?

1. my Mom (I miss her, she died 2 yrs ago),
2. Jesus(because he's Jesus and he can supply the wine..he he..just kidding)
3. my Grandmother (I would love to be able to talk to her, she died when I was 6)
4. Walt Disney (Disney has been such a huge influence for me growing up..I LOVE Disney everything)
5. President Obama (so Jesus can tell him what needs to be done)

1. My wife, Marge, who is full of life and love and fun. She loves music, sports, and is intelligent without being obnoxious. Everyone who meets her likes her.

2. Marge's son, Sean, who besides being fun, would always have my back. Although he is much taller than me (and bigger), he once cried on my chest. He is like my son.

3. Marge's son, Patrick, who is the beer connoisseur, tells some very funny Irish jokes about "Murphy," and along with Sean, if the party get slow we could play some Liar's Dice.

4. Marge's son, Paul, who could join with Sean and Patrick in singing Bohemian Rhapsody.

5. My daughter, who goes by the name, biff, who brags that she drank me under the table at a Bears of San Francisco beer bash.

Also, although it exceeds my limit of 5, I'd invite several friends I met on this board.

Good question!

1. Albert Einstein. I would absolutely love to have theoretical debates with this intelligent man, it would prove incredibly interesting.
2. Henry David Thoreau, one of my favorite poets. A wise man for sure. His works fascinate me.
3. Robert Frost, another wise man. Also one of my favorite poets. Perhaps one of my favorites and also extremely famous for writing 'The Road Not Taken', an excellent and very meaningful poem to me.
4. Emery, my great grand father. Unfortunately, he died a few years before I was born, and I never was able to meet him. But from pictures and the countless stories my grandfather has to tell me about him, a great man.
5. Walt Disney, probably one of the most inspirational men in history. Do I need say why? His creativity has sparked joy and wonder in the hearts of countless people.

And there are more... But it exceeds my limit of five. We should have 10! :P

Actually, I don't like to party, so if I were to host a party and invite them, it'd be more or less...not your average party. Perhaps we'd sit around, drink some tea, discuss philosophy and literature and have some good laughs. That's my idea of a party. smile

I like that, also, but I call that a jam session. Inviting to a party has a slightly different meaning for me than inviting to party.

Nonetheless, partying certainly does not require one to do what one does not want to do.
