Sky and Dani have returned!!! She looks older... or maybe it is just me.. I dunno maybe it is just me.. but I mean I have had her since October 1st.. so my little birdie has to grow up sometime. lol She is really loving her comphy perch and hangs out there most of the day... next step... heated perch! I keep my room pretty warm with a space heater in the hall, the regular heater and the fleece blanket over her cage... but I think she would like the heated perch. How is everyone else doing with their heated perches in this wintery weather?

HI there Animom. Yes.. I have been seriously MIA. I got sick right around Thanksgiving and was unable to taste anything!!! can you imagine??? Just getting over it.... what an icky illness that was.

Sky is here with me next to the computer.. not out of her cage yet.. we are still working on that... but she is just chirping away as if to say.. you are home and you are on the computer?? what about my needs??? lol... but I work with her every night...

I'm glad to hear that all of your lovelies are doing well. My brother sys to me.. It's like a zoo..we have a bird and a dog.. and you I said. lol.. but what we have is nothing!!! you should hear what some of the other folks have. lol

Glad to hear Sky is doing well and making good progress!

Happy Holidays to you! laugh

I found your post on Yam Animom... now it makes sense.. I was saying to myself... yam??? confused but that is very cute. lol

Is it going to be a problem having only one love bird?? Will he be lonely? And if so.. can you really buy one at a pet store? (I thought they old sold them in pairs)... Look at me.. so concerened about YOUR Yam. lol Yam is very cute

Thanks Rick... Sky is my little cutie.. but lately I have been calling her "little miss nibbly keet" as she has a habit of trying to take a nibble when I take the millet out of my hand. My brother claims it tickles. I don't stick around to find out... which is really just feeding her desire to nibble in my opinion.. but I don't like being nibbled!!! lol But they say that "Love Hurts" and I do love my precious little birdie.. she makes me laugh. So I will have to endure... somehow.

Happy Holidays to you also!

They make better pets when they are alone. Together esp a couple they want nothing to do with you. I play with Rosey, but I have to wear gloves to do it. She is very protective of Jewel, the cage and of course the baby. I bought her at a bird store and Jewel at a petstore.
Yam has to be removed from his parents cage when he is weaned. They have no parently connection once they stop feeding and they can hurt it.
