Someone asked this question on another part of the forum:

"Would this make a good gift?"

I thought that this subject would make a good discussion point for this area, so am linking it.

What do you think?

At first I didn't really think much of it, just that the idea to me sounded like either a way to try to get someone to really like you or think of you otherwise. Also, that some people may be materialistic, and you never really know until you know. But as I thought a little more, it sounded like a really neat thing to do. Something out of the ordinary.

I don't know if I would ever donate for an animal though, as much as I would want to, sometimes the fear of coming off as either cheap or clingy lingers.

But, what do the rest of you think?
