I'm only a couple of levels above your hubby, I'm afraid. I've heard some music that was at least sung my opera stars, and I liked it. But some opera music I can't understand, nor like.
So I guess I'm similar in music, art, and wine - open to appreciate, but personally selective. But, since I've seen such a wide variety of likes and dislikes in others, I don't make fun. It can go both ways.
Back to songs I remember (and liked) from movies (in my Junior year in H.S., I was a balcony captain in the Fox Theatre in Atlanta) -
In the Circus of Horrors, there was a hauntingly beautiful song called, "Look for a Star." Circus of Horrors (1960) You Tube - Garry Mills - Look for a Star
Then there's the movie (and song) "Never on Sunday:" You Tube - Manos Hatzidakis - Never on Sunday (Cover)
