Day 7

The oldest baby has his eyes open!

The last egg was bad. I noticed it had an indentation in it yesterday, thought maybe it was hatching, but this morning it had a definite rotten odor, so I threw it away! frown But 3 babies is definitely enough for Lily and Ace to handle!

lol...i was looking at the pics and started to think, "where are the hands/fingers?" Duh...it's been a long week! Sorry to hear about the 4th eggs and you are right...3 is just enough to handle. Are you feeding them by hand or letting the parents do it?

I'm letting Mom and Dad feed them for now, once they get about 2 weeks I am going to take over. I bought formula, syringes, and a brooder last time Lily laid eggs, so I might as well put them to good use!

They're ugly now, but I can't wait till they start getting feathers! I keep wondering what they'll look like!

Day 8

Pay no mind to the time stamp...I set it wrong on my new cam and I am already so confused over it that I haven't changed it! It does take nice pics, though!

All the babies have their eyes open, the smallest are tiny, little slits!

It's funny, the day before yesterday I had given the birds egg yolk, and the contents of the babies' crops was bright yellow, yesterday I gave them broccoli and parsley and today their crops are green!
