That is good that you have access to a great vet. I hope Periwinkle is getting better on the medicine. My birds send "get well" chirps to him.

Wednesday his eye got red and i was reeeeeeeeally scared that he was too ill to be saved at all. but after the first treatment of fluconazole, the next morning his eye just had one red spot on it like it was just bloodshot in one tiny spot. i was sooooooo relieved.

His cere is a little deformed around one nare almost as if the buildup in his nose ate into it or something. vet advised today that i should try to clear the nares out. i took a qtip and loosened the cotton around it alot - then just circulated the loose cotton above the nare trying to get whatever it was to break up. i don't know. he was so flustered i couldn't get much done.

but we have the second dose done...they get it every 48 hours.

Glad to hear he is hanging in there and seems to be getting better! Continued prayers
