I think he's cute too!! (proud mama here!) I do know he's a greywing, his face is a light yellow. His body is blue/purplish with maybe slight greyish (my hubby thinks he sees the grey, I think he's more on the lavender) I'm wondering if maybe he's a violet or mauve, I know the greywing dilutes the colors, that's why his yellow face is light.

I tried to get some pictures today without the flash, as the flash makes him bluer. Jasper kept turning his back to me whenever I aimed the camera at him! I had to wait him out! As you can see he is molting, he's now 13-14 weeks old. I know it's pretty early, but I'm thinking this is a boy?? Any chance it would end up female, I wouldn't mind, just curious.....

Jasper kind of looks like Rio, except Rio is more teal than lavender... really a beautiful bird tho! What is a "greywing?" Is that just a specific color scheme?

He looks much like Aruba except Aruba has no yellow in the face. I do see very muted hints of violet in Aruba mostly in the "shoulder" area sometimes.
