My vet didn't have a problem with nutriberries or avicakes. But, she did insist that I give them pellets. My little ones would rather starve than eat pellets.

Try putting the pellets in a different dish. My cockatiel Harriet eats pellets and she got my parakeets to eat pellets. Before my parakeets wouldn't touch them either, but I put Harriet's in a fancy silver bowl and before I knew it they were eating them. If one parakeet starts eating the pellets they will all want to try them. Also sometimes they won't eat somethings that' is too big. Even if you offer them a tiny piece of food, most likely they'll want to try it.

Harrisons makes extra fine pellets which are really tiny. They give out free samples so maybe you can try those and hopefully you're little guys will like them. They give free samples at this number: 1-800-346-0269.

I have the bird bread mix so I'll see if I can transition them that way. Hopefully, I'll get around to it.

Hey, I just wanna holla out to Lisa about how great this site is!

Anyways, I'm getting a cute new keet, named Apollo. Many of the store's keets' wings are clipped.

Mainly, how long until the parakeet's wings grow back, and the minimum? What's the longest amount of time for the wings to grow back?
