I've seen the vision cage and I was just wondering what all of you thought. If I want to get a friend for Bernard it doesn't seem like even the medium size is big enough for two??! Do any of you have it? Does it reduce a lot of mess? Is it big enough? Are the doors good / big enough? Is it worth £45, which is around $90? Does it look ok?? Sorry for all of the questions, I've been looking at cages non-stop today and can't find what I'm looking for. From all of your previous posts and pictures I have come to the conclusion that there is a lot less choice in England!! The few that there are seem to be quite a bit more expensive!

i had the vision cage until i got more keets. i had 2 birds i believe it was the medium sized one im not sure its the one with the green perches. i still use it as my sick cage and for when they all have to be boarded so 4 do fit in there. i loved the cage it keeps things soooo much cleaner!

I have a vision cage, and I love it. It is really easy to clean...I just take the whole bottom and hose it off in the tub (I don't use paper)

The food dishes have their own doors, which makes things a tad easier, although I dont like the angle my wrist goes to getting the dishes in and out.

The main cage door is great because its a double and gives lots of space. My birds like it, although one day I will invest in a bigger one.

I'm not sure which size cage I have, but it was 50 bucks.

Its honestly not worth that much money you can find a much bigger cage for the money... and I dont really think they're big enough if you just got for something bigger then late when you want to add on again you wont have to get a new cage again...

es: I got this cage from anothe rsite for 100 dollars with s&h included... wayyy bigger and only 10 bucks more

I think she's having a hard time finding a cage as she's in England. We have quite a variety here in the states, lots of competition/prices, etc. I wonder if anyone else from England is on the forums and could give her a pointer...

I would get the biggest cage you can afford. Once you have two parakeets and all the toys in it and extra food and water dishes, the space will get a lot smaller. Two birds need a lot more space because if there are any squabbles they need to be able to get away from each other. In our case, our girl is very bossy so we had to get a bigger cage.

eBay!! They have eBay in England, too! smile

I have a cage similar to the one Heather linked to, except it has one big door, and I payed under $100 for it. Shipping to England wouldn't be much more, I imagine. You could probably find a local seller, too!

It may cut down on the mess for you, but that doesn't mean it's going to be the best choice for your birds. The Vision cages are nice and look classy but you should always go with the biggest cage for your money. Plus, if you end up adding more birds...NEVER SAY NEVER...you don't have to invest n yet another cage, costing you more in the long run anyway!

The best way to forget your troubles is to wear tight shoes.
