Well, I've been trying to mix pellets in with the seed for a little more than a week, hoping they might eat them accidentally.

When I put fresh food in yesterday, I did a couple dishes with mostly pellets and only a few oats/groats seeds...since they're bigger. Lily seems to be my adventurous one...excuse the rear view, but here he is chowing down!

Now I can only hope he's eating the pellets! Maybe my other keets will follow suit! smile

Get them flower cups. That's how I got Skipper to eat broccoli, LOL, now he loves it. Gotta try pellets in it and see what happens.

There have been several posts about the "Famous Flower Cup" here. They are very popular with the keets.
They are usually sold at Walmart for about a dollar or less. They are little treat cups with a mirror and beads attached.
Let me see if I can find a picture.

Very cute...I think I've seen those at walmart...I tried one of the kind you have to push between the bars before and it was difficult...does it depend on the cage if they fit...it was so big, I couldn't get it through the bars...this is a different cage though, so maybe it will work better. =)

Yes, it can be difficult and if the bars are vertical the thing will slide down when the bird lights on it, LOL. You may get a glimpse of one in the cage in my avatar.

Skipper attacks me when I put the cup in. He doesn't want to wait to get at it and I am in the way. He is such a brat.

My 2 little ones LOVE that cup. They will eat anything I put in there.

Beware of the mystical powers of the mirrored flower cup! Budgies everywhere succumb to it's powers...

LOL! I bought two at Walmart today....87 cents not bad! I'll try and see how they do with them.

I also bought some organic soil and plan to get some herbs growing! Parsley and cilantro! =) I'm excited.
