I was just curious if anyone's birds itch/scratch/preen themselves more frequently than other? I have one bird...it seems every time I look he's preening/or other. I just wonder if birds get dry skin. =) Eczema!?!?! I've had the check for mites, etc. They thought his cere/beak issue was possibly from the other keets or nutritional, etc. I was just wondering if it was normal. =0P Thanks!

Yes! Females often spend more time preening than males. I'm not sure why though. But in my cage, Emmit and Grayson will be squwaking away while Jayka is in the corner preening.
