i would but the vet said not to put him in the cage woth the ohter burd case he might have an illness

I would not put it back in the cage if I were you. I would take the shoebox and put it in a warm, quiet, dark place. I also might take a small bowl of water and put it in there. I will pm you with the vet so you can get a second opinion. This place specializes in birds.

could this be a blood feather and she just thinks it is bloody poop. The question about a bird getting a period kinda sounds like maby it could be.

Birds don't get periods. I am 99% sure of that. I didn't know that dogs or cats could get periods, either. Mine doesn't.
