Yes, you should be worried. It can be caused by something that's not an emergency, but if it keeps bleeding it really can die quickly.

Yeah, if it is falling off the perch a shoe box is a good place so it doesn't get hurt. Falling is another bad sign. Did you tell the vet about that too?
