grin well, My math teacher is willing to give me her zebra finch because his "Wife" Died. She offered him to me because she is hardly ever home and she is afraid it will die. My mom said that I can have it, but is it okay to mix Zebra finches with parakeets? also, is a zebra finch tameable? =] thanks for your answers. I will be getting him later on.

I remember a long time ago, there was a member named Joephazonx and he was able to tame both his finches and cages them with his 3 budgies. I do know, though, that it is not usually recomended to house finches and budgies together and since this finch is not newly born and is already used to finches only, then it will be near impossible to tame him. I'd highly reccomend getting him a finch friend or he will get very lonely. smile

Congrats!

congrats! I don't know why you shouldn't keep it with your keets aside from the fact that different kinds of birds don't always get along wink . sometimes we have doves fly into our chicken coop and they always kill them frown cry.

We house our finches and keets together at work and there are no problems.

Finches are more of a looking at pet because they're not easily hand tamed.

The best way to forget your troubles is to wear tight shoes.

It is offical. I will get another finch friend for it when I get my cockatiel. It may be a month or so, But it is deffinate. I will name the male (My teachers, soon to be mine) Fincheey because it has no name and the female (the one I will buy)drips. I cleverly came up with this a few days ago. Instead of fish and chips, they will be fincheey and drips!!! =]

Still haven't decided what I will name my cockatiel, but I have a few ideas. But most I have forgotten...=]

I have a devious Idea to borrow 50 bucks from my grandpa and pay him back ASAP. That will put me at a wopping $155 dollars. =] I can buy a finch, cockatiel, the cage for the tiel and some toys, food and whatnot. =] w00h00

You should wait to see the personality of your new tiel before naming him smile
