Hello. I'm kind of average in knowing what to prepare for breeding. We own two parakeets. One is a darkish blue (boy) and one with white-grayish with yellow on top of her head. We purchase them in the middle of the fall season. The female bites though, but the male is friendly. They cuddle alot and do this type of kissing action everytime I'm not watching All I want to know is what type of steps or nests should I obtain. My mother is buying a bigger cage, so It'd be good to have a few new
ones laying around. If there is anything you know, I'd like to hear. Thank you.

Well it sounds like you are not ready at all. You need to tell us everything you know about breeder parakeets. LLPB has a breeding tread under this forum topic. Go read it.

Well, it sounds to me like your 2 keets are bonded, but not every pair of keets that are bonded breed. Do not encourage them by putting a nesting box in their cage - they will most likely not breed if you don't put one in. Breeding keets is very risky, and is something that you need to set aside alot of time for. Definitly read LLPB's post and then take into consideraton everything she says. smile
