So sad he was an amazing bird. I couldnt imagine working with a bird like that for so long. It would be like loosing a sibling.

Wow, I wonder did they get him from a baby or was he older than 30 when he died....

I wish everyone knew how smart birds are. I could never understand the phrase "bird-brain"....

I had the impression that they got him as a baby so that the scientists would be the only ones working on his training.

I think it is particularly amazing that he could show emotions like that. Definitely a smart birdy.

I remeber watching a TV program on Alex, he was awesome, he could distinguish colours/shapes and materials. As in , 'get the blue fabric circle "and he would. he probably did soooo much more. RIP Alex. Thanks for you contribution to research.
