I yelled and started crying at my dad till he said we can take her. so we're going tomorrow morning at 10:15am

Her droppings seem almost black they went from being normal and turning darker... whats going on?

She took a liking to the egg, nibbled on it and trampled in it xD

and i heard a small chirp for the first time in 4 days :] it was so pretty

just got back. she said nothing seemed wrong but she looked kinda sick, she was a little dehydrated from not eating / drinking the pasted few days but she gave me some antibiotics and that was that.

82$ for that Wow keets are expensive

Well, any pet is expensive if it gets sick! But yeah, it's a surprise when it happens.

I sure hope the antibiotics will get Xana well.

One thing, it sounds like the vet you found might not be an avian expert. For the future, you should do some research and find out if there's an avian vet in your area. With luck, you'll never need one, but it's a good idea to know.

If your keet has no parasites and no obvious injury or abdominal lumps or hard spots, all of which I assume your vet would have looked for, then I would guess the antibiotic treatment has a good chance.

And I'm very glad to hear she ate a little! Protein will help her heal from whatever it is she's sick with.

(Just make sure any "wet" food you give her, like egg or fruit, doesn't sit out too long, or it will grow bacteria and maybe make her worse.)

Well said Faith. I have paid out plenty of money to keep my keets healthy. It is just part of owning a pet. I 100% advise that you make sure you have an avian vet. Anyhow, best of luck on the antibiotics.
