I've had Jebjebee for about 4 months now, and I've gotten him finger trained at first. However! Since he started molting, he started biting, and now it seems like hes UNfinger trained! He eats from my hand and will let me rub his beak, but when I try to get him to perch on my finger, he will go to town knawing on my finger!! He will more readily perch on a wooden perch as in the beginning stages, but he still attacks that time to time. He didnt attack like that when he was being perch trained for the first time. One theory is that his wings grew out during the molt (he was clipped when I got him), and someone told me that he might be biting and not perching because he can fly now...but I dont know. Any ideas suggestions of help of any kind?
Thank you!!

Is he playing with you or is he bitting? the reason I ask is Tweeter used to bite ( still once in a while not often). Now if we put our hands in thier he'll nudge us and nibble like he is trying to play.

It seems like flat out biting. He lunges his head real fast at me and bites and continues to bite and knaw, strangely though only when I have my index finger out for him to perch. Not when I have my hand in to have him eat from my hand or stroke his beak...*sigh*

Birds can be more irritable when they are molting. It is supposed to be a very uncomfortable time for them.
