The cage Bonita came from was not even half the size of her new one. She was abandoned at a petco and we adopted her. She is slowly opening up.

oh poor little baby! I don't see how people can abandon pets. I'm glad you took her in! Looks like she has an awsome home now.

She is coming around she looks alot happier. She is a great bird we just want to give her some time to get use to us. We have only had her for 4 days now. Today she has started to move around her cage more, and not as afraid when I come around to change her water.

Bonita is soo cute! I cant beleive anyone could abandon such a cutie! It looks like she has a wonderful home now and a great cage. Say, where did you get that cage anyway?

My parents bought the cage at a flee market a couple of years ago for our cockatiel, Paco. They gave him to our old neighbors because they really liked him. Trying to set into a new home we did not have time for Paco. Paco became really mean and we could not do anything to please him.
We have had an empty bird cage for about two years. Now it Bonita's new home. She really likes it.

We do not have them together. My boyfriend and I don't live together. Even if we did I would keep them seperate. Sunny is already easy to handle. He loves to be held and to play in my hair. Bonita is slowly coming around. You can tell that she was not ever handled. Bonita has been around Sunny and was not very nice to him. She seems to love having such a large cage to herself. I think I'm going to keep it that way.

glad to hear . a female budgie can be very mean to a male,they are very bossy ;just ask those of us who have a female with males.my speckles beat the fellas up all the time.
