Hey, before running one of my 5k races, I had a dream, but it seemed so real, I kept thinking about it as if it were real. On the way to the race I kept a look out for the road signs and the look of the buildings, but none looked right. I felt like I must be going crazy or something. I know what I saw! But it didn't occur to me that how could I see the way to the race I had never been to before. Nothing looked the way it did in my dream, which seemed so real I believed I had already been there. No logic.
I remembered the signs and the look of the buildings. The signs read "Race Parking", and had arrows directing.
We entered another race, sort of last minute. And the directions had said there'd be signs, but we arrived 2 hours early and there were no signs out directing us where to park. So, consequently, my husband reparked three times, lol.
Then, my son and I took off on our race. I was coming back to the finish/start line, but still about a mile away and low and behold, there I am running up hill as fast as I can, and there is the first "Race Parking" sign, and the buildings were all the right ones. I nearly stopped right there and then. But I force myself to carry on. Then, I come across another sign and another sign. Just like in my dream. I had drempt that dream about 2 months before I even knew I was going to run in that race, and it was the inaugeral race.
Hadn't dreampt a future dream in ages.

That's really odd, isn't it?
I wonder what the explanation is.

I've been wondering that one myself, because it seems that nothing really has changed.
My son won second place for his age group in that race.

BIRDIE!!! I had a VERY similar experience just this last week! We went on vacation and as we were driving down in town, and I suddenly remembered a dream I had, had years ago and I was looking at all the signs and thinking to myself this house (the one we were going to) is a LONG way away! It was JUST like in my dream!! There wasn't anything important or significant about my dream either! So weird... One day I hope to understand what all of these dreams mean and why I have them! BTW- Congrats to both you and your son!

I sooo agree! While we were there I was talking with my mom (she and my dad went with us) and she was saying that when she was younger she had similar dreams and experiences but as she has gotten older she hasn't had the dreams anymore. She said the dreams she had were the same.. nothing important usually just a dream that happened to really happen! hehe Confusing! The more we talk about it though it makes me want to start researching it more... If I come across anything that sheds light, I will post it here!

Wow, how cool, you're mom had the same sort of experiance! I wonder why her's stopped?
I have been watching Le Tour De France nearly every single day these past couple of weeks. Monday was rest day, no riding, but all day long, I kept seeing in my mind's eye this one rider get his yellow jersey on, having won the over all time for the day. Yesterday (Tuesday) I'm watching the race, and at the end, I see this one rider get his yellow jersey on, and I spit out some coffee, and sit up, as I see it's the guy I'd seen in my dream. The way I dream, is that afterwards, my mind tells me that it already happened, so when I remember it, I say to myself that that is why I'm thinking of it, because it's already happened. Its not until I see it unfolding for real, that I realize that it hadn't already happened.
So, I wonder, why was I supposed to know that Rassmussen won for the overall in Le Tour de France? Lol. Who knows.

We discussed dreams in a class I recently attended and they talked about dreams being a way for those who have passed on to communicate with us! It was a very interesting discussion and got me thinking, I wonder if it is our loved ones who have passed on telling us we are on the right track with our lives and telling us we are where we need to be... We also talked about how as we grow older we have a tendancy not to remember dreams. But I wonder if it's more the fact that most people as they grow older choose not to remember them and miss the significant things in their lives because they view dreaming as more of a childhood occurance and they don't recognize the things they dream when they happen for real? ... Does that make sense?? LOL I am not so great at putting what I am trying to say into words! Anywho, just some food for thought!

You know, there could be something to what you said about those who have passed on letting us know that we are on the right track.
When I had that one dream recently, I had just decided to change my way of thought. I had a doctor's appointment and was worried about it. But then, it was like a light went on in my mind, and I sort of mentally pulled myself up from my boot straps and told myself that I was fine and everything was fine. And I let go of my fear. Then I dreampt my dream.
I'll pay more attention when I make a decision now to see if I get a dream following it.
