I wouldn't recommend it. Nor would I ever personally inbreed. To many things can go wrong, or turn out wrong.

yes it is done, and not it is not reccommended the babies could have genetic defects and many many things can go wrong. so no i would not reccomend inbreeding. some people do it and dont see a problem with it but MOST are against it.

In the breeding world, thats called line breeding. It is done far more often than many people think. From Horses to rats. If there are folks willing to pay a premium for the offspring of a champoin......well than there will be *inbreeding* trying to replicate the parents. Genetic issues do arise from time to time, but thats because there is double the gene pool thats supports it, if it is present in the related animals....it DOES NOT cause it.

Whats inbreeding?? Isnt it incest? like brothers and sisters mating and producing babies?? or is it differenct species mating and have eggs that hatch?? please explain! =) im very curious and intrested.

Where a brother and sister mate. I know its done all the time and the question comes up alot. I would like to do it because I plan on getting a rare english for my local breeder.
I dont have a problem doing it. Its just I went to a bird show. And I think they said the Sydney is a baby of inbreeding.

_Inbreeding_ is breeding with a close relative, like siblings. Or if you breed among cousins often enough, that produces inbreeding results, too. The danger with inbreeding is that close relatives have a high chance of both carrying a recessive defect, and if both of them pass that gene on, then the baby will have the defect.
_Interbreeding_ is what you call it when you breed between species (like breeding a parakeet and a cockatiel) or subspecies (like breeding two different kinds of dogs).
