my tweety used to do that also,i got the feeders that looks like a tube and use them for about 2 weeks and took the other ones out of the cage. after the 2 weeks i put the others back she used to lay in and the tube ones. now she do not lay in it at all....hope this helps.

Before I got Fester his little platform and made it all comfortable
for his little feet he slept in his food dish.
Everyone in awhile I will find him in it, but on the whole he sleeps on his fur lined platform

How did you make it comfortable?

I lined it with a folded cozy hut, he refused to sleep in it
and refused to go near it opened up, so I folded it and placed it on the wire platform, he loves it

for the keets I put card board on theirs, but as with cardboard it neds to be replaced often. White poster board works great
