Ok!

So sydney has been sleeping/sitting on her food dish all the time. Before she goes to bed that is were she will sleep all night.

Why does she do this and how can I stop it?

Thanks! wink

Yeah, I'm going to need to figure out a way to stop it too. Maybe we should move it to the general chat so that more people see it.

take a look at the different types of water dishes you can buy at the pet store they have bottles that the birds can drink from like the hamster bottles the birds can't poo in those you will have to leave their reg water dish in until they get use to using the water bottle.

Also maybe she does not like her perch try to get a couple of different types of perches in the cage wood, and rope perches are good choices also get a comfy perch they are make out of concret helps to keep their toe nails in good shape just don't use sand perches as those hurt their feet.

for smokey I purched thick ropes and wooded perches.she loves to sleep on the rope, for the water I got the ones with covers so there is just enough room for smokey to drink.

Batboy has just recently started to sleep in his seed dish - after 2 years of sleeping hanging upside down. About a week ago I woke them up and there was Prettygirl and Greengirl on a perch and I started to panic, the cage door was shut but I did not see Batboy. Then I saw him curled up in the seed dish, with just the tip of his tail sticking out. He got up, stretched and shook off a bunch of seed. the two more times this week he has been in the dish, throwing seed around to make a comfy bed.
