Does the breeder box go in or outside the cage?

Does the perch go in or out side of the breeder box?

Thanks

Well i have a plastic nestbox and on the plastic ones you can either chose for it to go on the inside or the outside as for the perch it goes on the outside.I think its better to put the nestbox on the outside as if you put it inside it takes up alot of space.

The nesting box should be placed in a breeder box door and in that case the box itself will be outside of the cage, but the keets can enter the nesting box while inside the cage - aka, the entrance to the nesting box is facing inside that cage.
As for the perch, there should always be a built in perch which is attached onto the outside of the nesting box so the father keet can feed the mother keet whithout her having to leave the box. But you should also have mnay perches directly outside of the nesting box so when the chicks start to venture out of the box there are perches there for them smile

all the pictures i've seen of people breeding but their nest boxes on the outside, and also with the perches on the outside.

I saw one at petsmart that was for cockatiel but it had the perch on the outside and the little dich in the center.

You think that would be ok?

inside or outside. some don't use if (SOMETIMES) if it's on the outside though...
and the perch is on the outside and lots of perches and sundecks around the nesting box as well.

also, if you INDEED have a TRUE BREEDING cage, then space shouldn't even be in the QUESTION.

also..RICHIE:

how big is your cage you're attempting to breed your keets in?

Thats sound like a good size to me.

And they do take up some room even with a big cage.
