this happened to Sky before and we were about to get him to a vet when it went away.
Now, months later, it has come back.
He makes the coughing up motion and then shakes his head. Seeds (or that's what it looks like) come flying in all directions (they're hard).
Anyone know what this this?

okay, thanks.
I think he may have been hungry because as soon as I refilled the food he jumped into it and gobbled down the little colored vitamin things x)
but I'm still keeping and eye on him.

Sorry for your loss, by the way.

I see this alot with my keets mostly when he brings food to hes mate. I think its a natural body function this might be how they feed their young or show affection to hes mate.

noo, it's different.
He was making the motion, then shaking his head and HARD things went flying around in all directions.
it wasn't like feeding.

call and ask a vet what could be the reason.all a vet can say is I can't give that infro over the phone,it wouldn't hurt to try.you need to know what's going on.

Sky is acting better now, but if he does it again I'll call a vet ASAP.
