i was just thinking, i am expecting my new cage anytime now and well it is pretty tall and the breeder doors are all the way at the top of the cage on the sides. anyway my question is what happens when the babies start comeing out wont they fall to the bottom and get hurt? or should i move the box to the inside bottom of the cage? but wont doing that tick off the mother and make her abandon her babies? i just dont want my babies getting hurt or the mother abandoning them. tips please?

Hmmm...if she does abandon them, better buy a brooder in case you have tto hand-feed them yourself.

can't help here. I use a breeding cage, so not a worry for me. I can see how high up in a regular cage could be a problem. Someone else maybe who has faced this before may answer.

well this cage has breeder doors on the sides at the top, so is that not considered a breeding cage?

I suppose any cage with side doors can be used as a *Breeding cage* This link shows what is usual for a breeding cage. As you can see, the box is close enough to the bottom to negate any concern about falling. My breeding cages are just a tad bigger than these, lengthwise.
