could villageidiot please find this and answer, lol:
are you giving your keets a powder calcium supplement mixed into their food? are they getting fresh foods and vegis daily? how big is the cage you are breeding them in? what are the dimensions on the cage you ordered? are you going to keep any of the babies if they hatch? if so, how many?
you know that you're going to have to seperate the sexes in 2 or more different cages. this includes all babies and parents!

They have crushed egg shell in their food. The vet said it is cheaper then the powder at the pet store. We are planning on selling the babies to good homes. The first 2 weeks I offered fresh fruit and veges each day and even tried with them on my finger. The previous owner tried and they wont eat fruits and veges. My step dad is making me a cage. It will be here the end of may. someone suggested 3x4x3 or somthing like that. He is going to try. If not then he will give me money on getting one. unless someone wants to see me one! lol

that has some...so i guess it'll be fine... =\\ They have a cuttlebone in there too right?
Ok. well...BEFORE you start breeding ANY animal, they must be on the healthiest diet possible. for birds, it's fresh foods and pellets. this ensures the babies are healthy, less/no complications occur, and overall wellbeing.
They're tiels right? then 4X3X4 should be about what you should build, or LARgEr!

I always thought a cuttle bone was needed if you were breeding or not. My keets have one and the teils do also. when i had a keet as a young child the pet store said i 'needed' a cuttle bone. i have tried slowly transfering them to pellets and they will have no part of it. they have been raised on seeds since babies. my keets kick out the pellts when i mix them with the seeds.

it is. Just making sure you have one in there for them Before breeding them, you should have switched them over. It can take months to do this, but it's essential, esp. for breeding. when/if the babies hatch, when they come out, start them on pellets (add some warm water to soften them up a bit, they're too hard for the babies at this time.) and also introduce them to vegis and fruit chopped up fine. for a treat, let them eat some seed.
