Hello, everyone. I've been looking at all the beautiful photos of your birds, so now I want to show you my bird :-)
She is my first keet ever, her name is Bíbí. I got her last january, when she was just a baby. Now she's going through her first molt. She's actually quite violet in real life, but my camera doesn't pick up her shade right. She was wing-clipped at the store where I bought her, but we're letting the flight-feathers grow in now.

She loves to sit on a finger and preen people's faces, but we have to ge careful, she always tries to go into the mouth ! [Linked Image] [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

She also likes my laptop computer, whenever she sees it she jumps on the keyboard and refuses to leave.

And here's a picture of Bíbí having toast with her ,,dad"

Relaxing after a nice bath....

And finally, gnawing on her tree. By the rate she's going through the branches, we'll have to replace it within weeks I think...

What a beauty!!!

I've noticed that cameras have a hard time capturing blue (or purple) birds right. I think it has to do with the way their feathers flouresce (sp), but I'm not sure, that's just my guess.

Anyway, your baby is a real cutie pie!!!

She's gnawing on a branch of European elderberry (L. Sambucca nigra).
It's supposed to be safe for keets, and I know it's pesticide free since it came from our backyard)
