Well today decided to try again to get pigeon to take a bath... Without much luck :P

He was out the cage for all of this:

First tryed getting a small dish and putting some water in it, and then gently tryin to encourage him to stand in it... He's toes touched the water but he wouldnt go near it :S

So then tryed dipping fingers in the water and dripping it on him, but this didnt realy work cause water usly dripped off when got to him

Then tryed running some water and holding him in one hand over the sink while using over hand to cup some water and gently drip it on him. This sort of worked..But after couple of drops he just flew onto sholder and kept flying back up everytime tryed to take him down again..

SO anyone got any suggestions for how to get him to take a wash? Or anyone tell me how they managed to get there keets to do so?

Hmmm, you seem to be doing the right things...What I did (just yesterday) was bought a birdbath thing for my keets that attaches to the side of the cage - it actually goes in a food bowl door, which is very handy. smile I put it where their water usually is, and obviously they drank out of it. smile Then Grace hopped right in and took a bath!! laugh I was sooo happy! Jake took one too.
Let me try and find one on the internet for you...BRB!

Hi! My little guy wouldn't bathe either, so I decided to try taking a sprayer and misting a bit of warm water over him. At first he moved away, but after the third spray he ran to get underneath it. He loves it! Might be worth a try. Good Luck!

How do you spray them? Cause I read you have to spray it in-directly at them.. (im guessing in the air)

Yes, that is what I do. I have a small plant mister that I lightly mist over him through the bars of his cage. At first he backs away, but then he hops right under the sprayer.

Have you tried putting a mirror into a very shallow dish filled with warm water (not hot). Although I generally avoid mirrors, I found that putting a mirror in a shallow dish (Like the tray under a plant pot) worked very well - also sprinkling something they like if he is into a veggie like broccoli.
I used to use the shallow dish and put it right up to his perch and hold it there for him and he would hop in - i know some people would use a clip on spare food dish and clip it near his favorite perch. I think you want to keep it up high, not down low.

Now my keet just flies over to the sink when he wants a bath from the sink - i forget how we started this, but he was clearly curious about the running water, so i put it at a dribble and cupped my hands palms down to let him sit on the back of my hands and he prefers that most of all.
