bottom to peak is 32 inches, width at smallest part is 17 across, width at widest part is 22 inches across.

it looks like a spade, if you know cards.

I have three in a birdhouse that just a little bit smaller.they have room to run around and play plus the can fly from side to side if when they want to excerise their wings.they need their own space at times,so they don't be fighting.

i would say three at most... comfortably id say more like two... also, those kinds of cage are exactly the safest or most useful... you cant hang toys from the ceiling without them all sliding around and if it's heavily decorated (as most cages like that are) you keets could get their toes stuck in the points that the wires make causing them to hurt or even rip off a toe... badbadbad...

if thats the one you absolutely want to keep and you are serious about breeding (meaing you know all about all the dangers to the hen and chicks and are ready to keep or find good homes for all the chicks) I would say just get one pair, a male and female. That way they can bond and no one will get left out. NEVER EVER get more females then males if you can help it, they'll fight eachother over the male...

I have this cage and no problems at all. Right now I'm using 2 cages for 5 birds, since they all freefly, they choose their own sleeping quarters.

Are you going to keep the babies?

I would say only 2 happy birds can be in there.

I've got the same cage. It's been Yuki and Nami's home for around 2 and a half years now. They love it and there's plenty of room with just the two of them in there (I've got Pheonix in a smaller cage in a different room.) plus their toys. My only complaint is that they absolutely love to sit in the parts that flare out at the top and see how far they can toss their seed shells. eek I honestly believe they both sit and try to see who can throw them farther when I'm not in the room.
And I think they've got distance pooing contests, as well. [Linked Image]
