My eldest son has pnemonia. He's sleeping now. He's usually never ill. It's so quiet in the house these past few days.

I actually got a headache yesterday because it was too quiet. No boys arguing, no telling him to stop bouncing the basketball in the house. No endless stories during the news or my soap opera. I miss hearing him run up and down the stairs.

The medicine he got today from the doctor's has brought his temperature down. Hopefully, he'll be more like his normal self in a day or two.

Hope the son feels better, had that once it's no picnic, was never so sick in all my life, but the meds worked fast and made me feel human again in like 72 hours.

LOL I know how you feel, tthe quiet is great for a short tme then it's defening when you are use to noise. With 4 boys and them all still home my house is not quiet, but 2 will be going back to college
so if I am lucky I might get a quiet headache

Thanks. He's just starting to get better. smile

Last night, he started to get his teenage boy appetite back. It's nice. I missed being eaten out of house and home. laugh

terrylovesgoldensandkeets: Yes, it's so true, that when you are used to the loud ruckus, that when it's quiet, it's deafening.

I realized what was giving me the headache when I was describing it to my husband. I said what I missed, and started repeating what I used to hear. "knock it off! I'm telling!! MOM!!... I was only joking. It wasn't my fault." that was when my headache went away. laugh

Coco's Mama: Yes, pnemonia can be very terible. Sorry to hear your mom had it last month. I am still getting over my bout with it.

I used to get bronchial pnemonia every year for Christmas break when I was growing up. It wasn't fun.

The scarring of the lungs must be why the doctors say that once you get it, you have a greater chance of getting it in the future.

I was trying to watch a show tonight, and I missed about 1/4 of it because my son, came in and started telling me about a show of his he had just watched. It made me happy to know that he's doing so much more better. smile

I know exatcly how you feel. I have three siblings, all 6 and under and they are so loud and noisey. However, my mom and I cherish the moments when their knocked out cold and the house is silent, its a different story when its quite for another reason, like them being sick.

Coco's Mama: Had to look up that Norwalk thing http://www.dhpe.org/infect/norwalk.html

It sure doesn't sound very good to have at all.

EMPeace: Isn't it weird, how you crave quiet, and then, if you get it from a child being ill, all you seem to want is to hear the laughter and complaints again?
