I feel that chester has become way too attached to the chandelier in the same room as him. Every time i take him out of the cage he flies right up to his chandelier and just sits there pecking at it and looking at his reflection. This makes it impossible for me to bond with him. How can I get him to stop going on it? Or what else could i do? confused

Thanks, Gnagflow

i read that even in the wild, birds prefer the highest perch (topmost part of a tree). I've seen this with my birds. They always go to the highest perch in the cage, and when one of them got out, we found him on a candle holder on the top of a kitchen cabinet (they may feel safer there). i think sidra has a good idea to take it in another room. preferable somewhere that does'nt have a possible high place to perch.

Sorry to reply so late but chester is way too afraid to leave the room. To be honest there really isn't any other room that would work. I don't even think my parents would let me anyway.
