Hello all:

I thought I'd share an update on Trixie and Habibi, so first here's a new picture of them.

[Linked Image]

Trixie (aka Turdicus) is the blue one and Habibi (aka Pooticus) is the green one.

They're little poop factories, I'm about to make a killing in the guano business.

Two funny stories about them:

1) They are both very jealous. If I start playing with one of them, the other will immediately jump on my hand or head and try to get my attention.

Whenever one of them wants to take a bath in the tub, the other one gets the same bright idea, and of course they don't both fit in there.

2) They get visitors. I am working from home today and I saw one of the birds from outside hanging out next to the mosquito screen on the living room window. Trixie and Habibi were on the other side having a little chat. As soon as Trixie took off to fly up to window bar, the outside bird did the same (only he had nowhere to perch on the outside).

Thanks, sampa:

My sister got Trixie in Sept. 2003. I adopted him in Jan. 2005.

I got Habibi in January of this year.

They do look like your birds!

Habibi looks exactly like Panchita. Trixie's back is just beautiful! They look like a lot of fun.

Thank you for sharing the pics! Hope to see more! smile

Hey Icequeen:

I've given up on trying to give them greens because I was getting nowhere with it.

I'll have to start again soon.
