what is amazing to me is how fast they develop into tiny lookalike of the adults. Ihave said many times I wish I could see what is going on in the nest. I bet you can almost watch the feather grow in. It happens so fast. Like time lapse photograhpy only in real time. The parents literaly push them out of the nest. They get behind them and push them up to perch on the edge of the opening. Mom and dad preen the baby and brush out the down as the reg feathers come in.
It's been a very exciting and amazing time for me and I'm glad I got to be a part of it even if it was a a spectator.
