Stonington Winery
Stonington Connecticut

In May 1998, we went down to visit our friends Michele and Dave in N. Stonington, CT. Right around the corner from them was the Stonington Winery. We decided to go over at 2pm for the tour and tasting.

What a lovely winery! It's only run by 7 people, and they do all the processing right in one area of the building. It was interesting seeing how they did their work, and then back to taste the wines.

My favorite is the Seaport Blush, being a sweet wine person. I also liked their dessert wine, a Reisling. Funny, though, the reisling is made from grapes grown at the Apponagansett Bay Vineyard, on the Cape! The other wines were tasty as well, although there wasn't as big a selection as at some of the other area wineries.
