Simple Blueberry Sangria Recipe
The simple sangria recipe is for people who want a quick, easy sangria that does not have to soak overnight or involve 8 different ingredients. This simple sangria recipe only calls for one thing - blueberries - to add to your red wine.
Merlot works best as the rest wine here, and berry merlot blends are very common on the wine shop shelves! I'm using a Badger organic merlot for my photo, but any merlot should work nicely. You can of course experiment with other wine brands and styles as well.
Ingredients:
1 glass red wine
10 blueberries
The wine is best chilled - even down to fridge temperature. Chop the blueberries at least in half - quarters is even better. It makes them easy to drink with the wine, if they're a small size. It also lets the blueberry juice get into the wine. Stir around a bit to mix in the flavors. Then drink and enjoy!
Boost-Up recommendation:
If you have access to blueberry brandy, add some in for an added kick! Neutral brandy works as well, as it won't affect the flavors.
To turn this into a party sangria recipe, there are usually four large glasses of wine in a 750ml bottle of wine. Simply multiply all ingredients by four and use a full bottle of wine in a large pitcher or bowl.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
